Summary:

PlayMyWay is an opt-in software system that allows electronic gaming machine users to self-select daily, weekly, and/or monthly gambling spending budgets for which the system will send budget notifications (i.e., alerts) as they approach, reach, or exceed those budgets. To evaluate this program, the Cambridge Health Alliance Division on Addiction was tasked to: (1) establish evidence-informed PlayMyWay goals and specific aims; (2) engage in a PlayMyWay system and data review; and, (3) conduct a PlayMyWay player survey. At the time of this evaluation, between 2016 and 2018, PlayMyWay was only available to players at Plainridge Park Casino.
