On February 28, 2014, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission officially awarded the state’s single slots license to Penn National Gaming. The Penn National proposal is located in Plainville, MA. The expanded gaming law permits an operator to run up to 1,250 slot machines. The slots license costs $25 million and is due 30 days after the award of the license.
