The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has issued a Request for Response as it seeks an executive search firm or individual (Consultant) to help recruit candidates to serve as Executive Director of the Commission.
Through this RFR, MGC seeks to contract with one bidder to work in conjunction with and assist selected Commission staff (search team/screening committee) in the process of recruiting, screening, and recommending finalists for the position of Executive Director.
By Statute, the Executive Director is the “administrative head of the Commission and shall be responsible for administering and enforcing the provisions of law relative to the commission and to each administrative unit thereof.” Among other things, the Executive Director “may, subject to the approval of the commission, employ other employees, consultants, agents and advisors, including legal counsel, and shall attend meetings of the commission.” (G.L. 23K § 3 i, j and k).
The MGC reserves the right to request the highest-scoring bidders to make oral presentations either through on-site meetings or through a video conferencing platform. Applicants should view the RFR and submit all questions and proposals through WWW.COMMBUYS.COM, Bid# BD-20-1068-1068C-1068L-48271. It is each bidder’s responsibility to check COMMBUYS for any amendments or updates.
The deadline for bid responses is Monday, March 23, 2020 at 3 pm.
