Presentations by Surrounding Community and Impacted Live Entertainment Venue Petitioners on Petitions for Designation 1/28 and 1/29

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby; Commissioner Gayle Cameron; Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga, representatives from communities petitioning for ‘Surrounding Community’ status, representatives from entertainment venues petitioning for ‘Impacted Live Entertainment Venue’ (ILEV) status, representatives from MGM Springfield, Mohegan Sun Massachusetts, and Wynn Resorts.
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will host open meetings on Tuesday, January 28th, and Wednesday, January 29th. The public meetings will include presentations from municipal representatives of communities that have filed a ‘surrounding community’ petition relating to a resort-casino application. The meetings will also include presentations from representatives of entertainment venues that have filed an ‘ILEV’ petition relating to a resort-casino application. The Commission will also reserve time to hear from any resort-casino Applicant that chooses to provide further testimony regarding any such ‘surrounding community’ and ‘ILEV’ applications. Communities, venues, and applicants will be given approximately 15 minutes to give their presentations. The Commission will then make determinations regarding any outstanding petitions at a later date.
