On Friday, May 12th, fifteen MGC employees spent the day volunteering for lunchtime service at Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter in Roxbury. In a span of about three hours, MGC helped Rosie’s Place staff ready the dining room, assemble turkey burgers, serve lunch to about 170 guests, and clear and re-set the dining room. In addition, MGC helped give Rosie’s Place staff a head start for dinner service that night.
The MGC volunteers also brought eight bags of groceries generously donated by staff who were not able to attend.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission would like to thank Rosie’s Place for the opportunity to serve.
