PHOTOS: MGC Commissioners, Staff tour 31 Elm Street restoration in Springfield

On Thursday, November 2, MGC Commissioners and staff toured 31 Elm St., a historic building on Court Square in Springfield, Massachusetts. The project, funded in part by the MGC’s Community Mitigation Fund, will make the building usable for the Springfield community.

Its historic frontage will be saved and later restored to the front of the building as work moves toward completion. The project will have a restaurant as well as 74 apartments. The apartments will also be split by income with 59 market-rate units and 15 workforce units.
