On Thursday, May 10, 2018, representatives from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission were honored to receive the Quasi-Public Organization of the Year Award. The award, bestowed by the Supplier Diversity Office of the Operational Services Division (OSD) and accompanied by a citation signed by Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, recognizes MGC for its “outstanding participation in the Commonwealth’s Supplier Diversity Program”.
The award recognizes MGC’s efforts to fulfill the Expanded Gaming Act’s mission to ensure that all Massachusetts residents and businesses benefit from new opportunities afforded by expanded gaming. This is the second consecutive year MGC has received this recognition.
MGC works with a Vendor Advisory Group to connect diverse Massachusetts companies to business opportunities with casino licensees. In addition, MGC is committed to ensuring that its own internal supplier base is representative of the Commonwealth’s diversity.
