Mass. Gaming Commissioner Brad Hill delivered the welcoming address to legislators and regulators from gaming states during an opening reception at The Westin hotel in Boston’s Copley Square on Thursday, July 7. The reception kicked off the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) Summer Meeting, which ran from July 7 through July 10 in the city.
“Members of NCLGS chair or are members of committees responsible for the regulation of gaming in their state legislative houses,” the Council’s website reads. “NCLGS does not promote or oppose gaming but is primarily concerned with the proper regulation of the industry.”
Commissioner Hill warmly received the meeting’s participants, talking about the importance of collaborative discussion amongst the attendees and bringing the laughs with a crash course in all things Massachusetts – from Dunkin’ Donuts and Fenway Park to U-turns and the T.
