MGM Springfield to Host Career Information Sessions, Job Search Workshops

MGM Springfield today announced that its workforce development team will host a series of career information sessions and targeted job search workshops next week
throughout Western Massachusetts. In preparation for its August 24 opening, MGM Springfield is offering the workshops to help interested job seekers in the City of Springfield and throughout the region become well-positioned to receive a job offer from the company.
MGM Springfield recently hosted a mass hiring event where hundreds of job seekers received offers. The company plans to host similar events in the near future. The upcoming information sessions are a continuation of MGM Springfield’s commitment to help educate and guide people through the hiring process. MGM representatives will be on hand to answer questions and aid candidates on how to job match their resumes with opportunities best suited for them. They will discuss best job-search practices and educate job seekers on the importance of applying for a job that fits their skill set. Wanda Gispert, MGM Resorts’ Regional Vice President of Talent and Workforce Development said, “We are excited to meet with interested job seekers to discuss the MGM Springfield hiring process. We are hosting these sessions with the hopes that candidates increase their chances for an offer. Together we’ll outline a path designed to help job seekers earn a job with MGM Springfield.”

MGM Springfield will be the newest resort in the MGM Resorts International portfolio and the first to open in New England. The resort will invest, directly and indirectly, and offer a comprehensive package of pay and benefits with average salaries of more than $40,000. The majority of MGM Springfield’s jobs will be full-time positions with benefits.
MGM Springfield established a goal to hire 35 percent of its workforce from the City of Springfield and 90 percent from a combination of Springfield and the region.
