MGC Statement Regarding Fraudulent Phone Calls Referencing Massachusetts Gaming Commission

The MGC was recently made aware of an incident involving a fraudulent phone call from someone purporting to be the “General Manager” of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, which claimed that the recipient’s name was recently drawn in a raffle and that they should return the person’s call to find out how to receive their prize.

The MGC would like you to know that there is no “General Manager” position at the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, and the MGC would not call patrons to inform them about raffle results at any of the Commonwealth’s three casinos. If you receive one of these calls, please do not provide any personal information, and report the call to the MGC by emailing mgccomments@massgaming.gov.
