MGC Commissioner Brad Hill Honored with NBCVB’s 2021 Award of Appreciation

MGC Commissioner Brad Hill was recently honored with an Award of Appreciation from the North of Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (NBCVB) during its Annual Meeting on November 4, 2021.

One of the state’s 16 regional tourism councils, the NBCVB is the official liaison between the North of Boston region and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, and has been in existence since 1955. Its mission is “to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase the number of overnight visitors to Massachusetts.”

Hill earned the NBCVB’s 2021 Award of Appreciation after representing the 4th Essex District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1999 to 2021, where he was appointed Minority Whip in 2009 and then Assistant Minority Leader in 2015.

On September 16, 2021, Hill began his term as a Commissioner for the MGC, filling the experience in gaming regulation and administration or gaming industry management seat.

A former local official and longtime public servant, Hill has served as a member of the Hamilton Zoning Board of Appeals and of the Ipswich Board of Selectmen, and also worked as a legislative staffer in the Massachusetts State Senate.
