Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on September 23, 2021; Conference Call Available

WHO:                    Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien

WHAT:                  The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #356 on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

After the meeting is called to order, Chair Cathy Judd-Stein will welcome Commissioner Brad Hill, who was sworn into office as a member of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission on September 16.

Executive Director Karen Wells will then provide an administrative update, which will discuss the following:

  • On-site Casino Updates
  • Internal Reopening Plan Update

Chair Judd-Stein and Commissioner O’Brien will introduce representatives from Miller & Chevalier, the independent compliance monitor for Wynn Resorts, for an update.

General Counsel Todd Grossman, alongside Gaming Agents Division Chief Bruce Band, Senior Supervising Gaming Agent Burke Cain, and Associate General Counsel Carrie Torrisi, will ask that the Commission vote on table game rules related to Ultimate Texas Hold ’Em.

Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon, alongside Finance and Budget Office Manager Agnes Beaulieu and Revenue Manager Doug O’Donnell, will provide an update on first quarter spending related to gaming positions.

Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will lead a recognition of Responsible Gaming Education Week.

Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney and Senior Program Manager Mary Thurlow will present on the following:

  • Community Mitigation Fund Reserve Applications Review
    • Hampden – VOTE
    • North Attleborough – VOTE
    • Mansfield – VOTE
  • Community Mitigation Fund Policy Questions Discussion
