Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on October 7, 2021; Conference Call Available

WHO:                    Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien

WHAT:                  The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #357 on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

After the meeting is called to order, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will discuss the following:

  • On-site Casino Updates
  • Internal Reopening Plan Update

Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden, alongside SEIGMA Principal Investigator and UMass Amherst Professor Dr. Rachel Volberg, will present key findings from the Massachusetts Gambling Impact Cohort Study (MAGIC), and will provide public health recommendations.

Chair Judd-Stein and Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon will ask that the Commission vote on the appointment of a Commission Treasurer.

Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney and Senior Program Manager Mary Thurlow will present on the following:

  • Community Mitigation Fund Subcommittee Appointments – VOTE
  • MGC Subcommittee Representative – VOTE
  • Department of Conservations and Recreation Transportation Planning Application – VOTE

General Counsel Todd Grossman, alongside Director of Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Loretta Lillios and Associate General Counsel Carrie Torrisi, will request a Commission vote on the following:

  • 205 CMR 134.01: Key Gaming Employee Licenses; 205 CMR 134.02: Gaming Employee Licenses; 205 CMR 134.03: Gaming Service Employees – and Small Business Impact Statement, for approval to begin the promulgation process – VOTE
