WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #399 on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
After the meeting is called to order, the commissioners and the Chair will hold a series of votes on approving meeting minutes for three Commission meetings previously held on March 14, 2022, April 28, 2022, and July 12, 2022.
Following that vote, the Executive Director will lead an Administrative Update that will cover Casino Updates, an MGC COVID Policy Update, and the Sire Stakes Finals Update.
Sports Wagering Process Updates are set to follow, where the Commission will cover a Sports Wagering Studies Update, Public Comments Regarding the Sports Wagering Application, and Divisional Updates.
The Legal Division will then head the next portion of the meeting, which will cover three topics of discussion: Sports Wagering Operator License Framework, Revisions to the Sports Wagering License Evaluation, and a Repeal of 205 CMR 103: Access to and Confidentiality of Commission Records and Review of Comments Received.
Commissioner Updates are then expected to follow, where the Commission will cover a Discussion on a Request from DraftKings for Reconsideration of the Commission’s Vote on Staggered Launch, as well as a Sports Wagering Evaluation Project Manager Update.
Community Affairs Chief Joe Delaney will lead the likely final portion of the meeting, which will feature MGM Springfield Quarterly Reports from Quarter 2 and Quarter 3.
There is also time reserved at the end of the meeting for other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of this posting. The Commission reserves the right to vote on these matters during this or future meetings.
