Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on October 10, 2024; Conference Call Available

WHO:                    Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Interim Chair Jordan Maynard and Commissioners Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #536 on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Once the meeting is called to order, Commissioners will consider meeting minutes from past Commission meetings held on July 17, 2023, July 27, 2023, and August 8, 2023. Following that, the Commission will hear an administrative update from Executive Director Dean Serpa, and a legislative update from Commissioner Brad Hill.

The meeting will once again hear from E.D. Serpa, as he and the Director Caitlin Monahan of the Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will present the final candidate for the position of Chief Enforcement Council.

The Commission will then move on to the Community Affairs division, which will lead a discussion on the reappointment of the Local Community Mitigation Advisory Committee and Subcommittee members. The Finance division will follow to cover the FY24 Budget close out report.

Commissioners will hear from the Sports Wagering division for a review of the division’s form for Submission and Approval of Operator Requests to void wagers.

Next, the Commission expects to hear from the following Sports Wagering Operators regarding requests for Temporary Waivers from 205 CMR 238.12: Bally’s Interactive, BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, Encore Boston Harbor, Fanatics, FanDuel, MGM Springfield, Penn Sports Interactive, and Plainridge Park Casino.

The Sports Wagering division will close out their portion of the meeting by presenting an update to Fanatics’ house rules.

Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.

There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
