WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #279 on Thursday, October 10, 2019.
The meeting will begin with an approval of minutes, followed by an administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian to include a discussion on 2020 Racing Applications.
Commissioner O’Brien, Commissioner Zuniga and Deputy General Counsel Todd Grossman will lead a discussion and request a vote regarding Plainridge Park Casino’s License Renewal Process.
Ombudsman John Ziemba will review the 2020 Community Mitigation Fund Policy Questions, and ask that the Commission vote on Local Community Mitigation Fund Advisory Committee and Sub-Committee Appointments.
Construction Project Oversight Manager Joe Delaney will present to the Commission on Encore Boston Harbor’s 90 Day Commitments.
Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden, alongside Chief Information Officer Katrina Jagroop-Gomes and Gaming Technical Compliance Manager Scott Helwig, will discuss a Category 1 Licensees Play Management Update.
Director of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development Jill Griffin will provide a presentation to the Commission on the “Built to Last: Best Practices for Diversity in the Construction Industry” report.
It is then anticipated that the Commission will vote on a Holyoke Community College Workforce Grant Request.
Members from the MGC’s Finance Division will then present on the MGC’s FY19 Budget Closeout.
General Counsel Catherine Blue will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- Initial Draft Version of an amendment to 205 CMR 133.05: Voluntary Self-Exclusion; and Small Business Impact Statement – VOTE to begin the promulgation process
- Initial Draft Version of several amendments to 205 CMR 134.00: Licensing and Registration of Employees, Vendors, Junket Enterprises and Representatives, and Labor Organizations; and Small Business Impact Statement – VOTE to begin the promulgation process
