Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on November 21, 2024; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, including Chair Jordan Maynard and Commissioners Paul Brodeur, Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #540 on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will consider meeting minutes from a series of Commission meetings on January 5, 2023, October 24, 2023, and October 25, 2023. Commissioners will then receive an administrative update regarding the next steps for the Commission’s discussion of wager limitations.
The Research and Responsible Gaming division will present a report titled “Feasibility Study: Prospective Sports Wagering Kiosks in Massachusetts,” as well as provide an update on Section 97, the casino player data project.
The Finance division will then lead a discussion on the FY2025 Cost of Living Adjustment.
Afterwards, the Sports Wagering division is slated to provide an update on the MGC Seal of Approval, as well as introduce an event catalog request for Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL), and discuss an update to BetMGM’s house rules.
The Legal division will follow with an introduction and review of Bally’s proposed trust agreement.
The Commission then anticipates moving into executive session to discuss gaming establishment security measures. The Commission will then remain in executive session to review minutes from previous executive sessions.
Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
