Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on November 18, 2021; Conference Call Available

WHO:                       Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Brad Hill, and Eileen O’Brien 

WHAT:                    The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #361 on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

After the meeting is called to order, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will discuss the following:

  • On-site Casino Updates
  • Hybrid Work Model and Office Reopening Update
  • Vendor Exemption for Salary Review Project – VOTE 
  • Human Resources Vacation Carryover – VOTE 

Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney will introduce representatives from MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino’s for the presentations of each licensee’s quarterly report.

Chief Delaney and Senior Program Manager Mary Thurlow will then ask that the Commission vote on final guidelines for the 2022 Community Mitigation Fund.

Director of Racing Dr. Alex Lightbown will provide a status update related to 2022 racing applications.

Licensing Division Chief Nakisha Skinner will request a Commission vote on a Service Employee Exemption Request related to MGM Springfield.

Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden and Research Manager Marie-Claire Flores-Pajot will present on a SEIGMA Ad-Hoc Report.

Chair Judd-Stein and Executive Director Wells will discuss the MGC’s upcoming Annual Report, and Commissioner O’Brien will lead a discussion about the Executive Director’s Annual Review Process.
