Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on November 16, 2023; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #488 on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
After the meeting is called to order, Interim Executive Director Todd Grossman will lead an administrative update. This will be followed by discussion of two regulations, 205 CMR 152 and 205 CMR 2.00, individuals excluded from gaming and sports wagering and racing meeting licensing, respectively.
The Sports Wagering Division joined by legal counsel will then lead a conversation regarding requests for waivers from sports wagering data privacy regulations, 205 CMR 238.02(7) and 205 CMR 257. Additionally, commissioners will hear a request to void wagers from DraftKings.
Quarterly report presentations from Plainridge Park Casino and Encore Boston Harbor are scheduled for a Community Affairs led portion of the meeting. The Community Affairs Division will then review the final FY25 Community Mitigation Fund Guidelines and grant amounts.
The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will then lead a discussion of security at MGM Springfield – an executive session is anticipated.
There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
