Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on November 10, 2022; Conference Call Available

WHO:                  Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner

WHAT:                    The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #400 on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

After the meeting is called to order, the Executive Director will lead an Administrative Update that will cover the MGC Vacation Carryover Policy, and a FY23 Q1 Budget Update.

The Research & Responsible Gaming team will then lead a discussion on a New Employee Survey at Encore Boston Harbor from January 2019 through December 2021. Following that, the Community Affairs division will cover the Q3 Plainridge Park Casino Quarterly Report as well as the Finalization of Community Mitigation Guidelines.

The MGC’s Human Resources Manager, Chief People & Diversity Officer, and Finance & Budget Office Manager will then provide the MGC’s Semi-Annual Diversity Update.

Licensing is then set to follow, where they are expected to cover an Employee Exemption Request regarding MGM Springfield.

The Legal Division will then head the next portion of the meeting, which will cover four topics of discussion: 205 CMR 2.01: Application for License to Conduct a Racing Meeting by a New Operator, a repeal of 205 CMR 103: Access to and Confidentiality of Commission Records and Review of Comments Received, the Sports Wagering Operator Licensing Framework, and additional Sports Wagering Regulations.

Sports Wagering Process Updates are set to follow, where the Commission will cover Sports Wagering Category 2 Licenses and Divisional Updates.

Commissioner Updates are expected to round out the meeting, where the Commission will cover an update on a roundtable focused on Advertising/Media.

There is also time reserved at the end of the meeting for other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of this posting.

The Commission reserves the right to vote on these matters during this or future meetings.
