WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #392 on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
After the meeting is called to order, the commissioners and the Chair will hold a roundtable discussion on responsible gaming related to sports wagering.
During that roundtable, a number of experts will be introduced, with expertise ranging from the National Council on Problem Gambling to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling to the Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health, and more.
The topics covered in that roundtable are as follows:
- Voluntary Self-Exclusion
- Adapting Responsible Gaming and Budgetary Tools to Sports Wagering and the Digital Space
- Protections and Measures to Enforce Age Restrictions
- Marketing and Advertising
- Operator Employee Training on Responsible Gaming and Problem Gambling
- Other Considerations for Consumer Protections and Promotion of Social Responsibility and Responsible Gaming
There is also time reserved at the end of the meeting for matters the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
