Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on May 9, 2024; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Interim Chair Jordan Maynard and Commissioners Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #516 on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Once the meeting is called to order, commissioners will consider meeting minutes from a Commission meeting held on August 4, 2022. After that, Executive Director Dean Serpa will lead an administrative update.
A legislative update is expected to follow, including a review of January 2024’s legislative recommendations letter as well as a discussion of MGC communication related to the Massachusetts House of Representatives FY25 Budget. The Finance Division will then lead conversations regarding a FY24 3rd Quarter Budget Update and a FY25 Commissioners Budget Review.
The MGC’s Sports Wagering Division is then set to lead the following portion of the meeting, which is expected to cover an event catalog addition request concerning Tomorrow’s Golf League.
A review of applications for Community Mitigation Fund grants will then be led by the Community Affairs Division. Following that, the MGC’s Research and Responsible Gaming Division will lead a presentation on an evaluation of the GameSense program in Massachusetts casinos.
Commissioner updates are set to follow, rounding out the meeting.
