Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on May 23, 2023; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #455 on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
After the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review meeting minutes from a Commission meeting previously held on December 5, 2022.
Following that, the Research and Responsible Gaming team will lead a discussion on responsible gaming considerations in promo play taxation.
Then, the MGC will welcome RSM US LLP, who will make a presentation to the Commission on U.S. online sports betting. That presentation is expected to precede a likely executive session.
When the Commission returns to the public portion of the meeting following the executive session, the MGC’s Sports Wagering Division will go over requests for temporary waivers from provisions of 205 CMR 255: Play Management. Those requests are from the following entities:
- BetMGM
- Betr
- DraftKings
- Fanatics
- FanDuel
- Penn Sports Interactive
- WynnBET
There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
