WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #508 on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Once the meeting is called to order, Commission is expected to vote on a trio of meeting minutes from three Commission meetings previously held on June 1, 2023, June 15, 2023, and June 21, 2023.

Following that, Interim Executive Director Todd Grossman will provide an update to offering of impermissible games by daily fantasy sports operators. A report on a planned legislative breakfast is set to follow that discussion.

The MGC Director of Racing, Dr. Alexandra Lightbown, will then present the Commission with a request for approval of additional simulcast import signal, as well as a report on 2022 unpaid winnings and a possible subsequent pay out authorization.

The Sports Wagering Division is then slated to discuss a request for amendment to House Rules by Fanatics and FanDuel. The division is also anticipated to discuss an event catalog addition request, a request for extension of waivers pertaining to 205 CMR 257.03 (4), and a report on the status of Bally’s operational plan.

The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau (IEB) will then head the following portion of the meeting, where they will lead discussions on an MGM Springfield request for amendment to the beverage license and a Plainridge Park Casino request for withdrawal of a service registration exemption.

The MGC’s Legal Division is then set to discuss three regulations with the Commission – 205 CMR 221.00, 205 CMR 238.12, and 205 CMR 238.35 – and discuss a potential MGC-licensed seal of approval.

The IEB will then hold a discussion regarding the possible adoption of policy and procedures for administration of certain non-compliance matters arising under G.L.c.23N and 205 CMR 232.

Following that, the Community Affairs Division will speak on a Medford 2020 Transportation Grant as well as the FY2025 Community Mitigation Fund application update and approval process.

Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting. There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
