Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on March 14, 2022; Conference Call Available

WHO:                       Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Brad Hill, and Eileen O’Brien

WHAT:                    The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #374 on Monday, March 14, 2022.

After the meeting is called to order, the commissioners and the Chair will hold separate votes on approving meeting minutes for two Commission meetings previously held on June 3, 2021; and June 14, 2021.

Following those votes, Executive Director Karen Wells will lead an Administrative Update that will cover On-Site Casino Updates from Assistant Director Bruce Band.

Dr. Alex Lightbown, the Commission’s Chief Veterinarian and Director of Racing will lead the Racing Division’s segment, which will focus on the Jockeys Guild Recognition and will feature a guest, Mindy Coleman, the attorney of the Jockeys’ Guild. A vote is expected at the end of that portion of the meeting.

The Commission’s Research and Responsible Gaming Team, led by Director Mark Vander Linden, will then lead a presentation on the Responsible Gaming Considerations for Gambling Advertising White Paper.

Commissioner Updates are set to follow, where Chief Administrative Officer Crystal Howard will provide an Annual Report Update to the Commission.

After, Community Affairs Chief Delaney will lead the likely final portion of the open meeting, where the Commission will discuss the East of Broadway Development Project that is being proposed in Everett, MA.

There is time allowed at the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
