Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on June 27, 2019

WHO:                    Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga 

WHAT:                  The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #273 on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

The meeting will begin with an approval of minutes, followed by an administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian, including a status update for Region C (Southeastern Massachusetts). The Commission is also expected to vote on Encore Boston Harbor’s Certificate of Operations.

Ombudsman John Ziemba will request that the Commission vote on several construction-related matters to include the following:

  • MGM Solar System Installation Schedule – VOTE
  • Dave’s Furniture/Wahlburgers Construction Schedule– VOTE

Jill Griffin, director of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development, will request that the Commission vote on a Holyoke Community College Mitigation Fund Grant Amendment Request.

Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon will request a vote on MGC’s Fiscal Year 2020 Budget.

Racing Division Director Dr. Alex Lightbown will request that the Commission vote on several horse racing matters, including:

  • Massachusetts Thoroughbred Breeders Association Request to Race at Finger Lakes – VOTE
  • Suffolk Downs Request for Approval of Additional Racing Official – VOTE
