Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on June 14, 2021; Conference Call Available

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien and Enrique Zuniga 

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #347 on Monday, June 14, 2021.

After an approval of minutes, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will include on-site casino updates from Director of Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Loretta Lillios and Gaming Agents Division Chief Bruce Band.

Director Lillios and General Counsel Todd Grossman will lead discussions on the following:

  • MGM Transfer of Interest REIT Threshold Issues – VOTE
  • Plainridge Park Casino Application to Expand Boundary of Gaming Establishment – VOTE

Licensing Division Chief Nakisha Skinner will request a Commission vote on a Gaming Beverage License Renewal for Plainridge Park Casino.

Director of Racing Dr. Alex Lightbown and Plainridge Park Casino’s Director of Racing Steve O’Toole will request an approval of a Racing Official for Plainridge Park Racecourse.

Commissioner Zuniga and members of the MGC’s Finance Division will lead a discussion on the MGC’s FY22 budget. A vote on this matter is anticipated.

Director of Diversity and Legislative Affairs Jill Griffin and Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will review drafts of the MGC’s Sports Wagering and Responsible Gaming Framework White Papers.
