Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on June 1, 2023; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #457 on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
After the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review meeting minutes from a previously held Commission meeting from December 15, 2022. Following that, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update.
The Legal Division is then set to discuss the following regulations:
- 205 CMR 257: Data Privacy and Usage
- 205 CMR 138: Uniform Standards of Accounting Procedures and Internal Controls
- 205 CMR 238: Uniform Standards of Accounting Procedures and Internal Controls for Sports Wagering
- 205 CMR 247: Uniform Standards of Sports Wagering
- 205 CMR 248: Sports Wagering Account Management
The Sports Wagering Division will then cover 205 CMR 247.03: Petition Form for Review, as well as an update to house rules re: credit language for Crown MA Gaming (d/b/a DraftKings).
The Research and Responsible Gaming team is then set to follow with a presentation of a report titled Patron and License Plate Survey Report: Encore Boston Harbor 2022.
The Racing Division will lead the next portion of the meeting, which will cover a request from Plainridge Park Racecourse for an approval of an additional racing official.
The Finance team will then cover the FY24 Budget Review before the Legal Division rounds out the meeting with a discussion on 205 CMR 243.01(1)(x): Consideration of Waiver of Regulatory Timeframe.
There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
