Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on July 30; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #314 on Thursday, July 30, 2020.
During an administrative update from Interim Executive Director Karen Wells, MGC staff will provide casino and racing updates, along with a legislative development update.
Director Wells and MGC staff will also request that the Commission vote on Plainridge Park Casino licensure and suitability determinations.
Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden, alongside research analysts Dr. Robert Williams and Dr. Rachel Volberg, will present a report on Waves 1 – 4 of the Massachusetts Gambling Impact Cohort (MAGIC) study.
Construction Project Oversight Manager Joseph Delaney and Program Manager Mary Thurlow will discuss a 2020 Community Mitigation Fund application from the Town of West Springfield. A vote on this matter is anticipated.
