Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on July 15, 2021; Conference Call Available

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien and Enrique Zuniga 

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #349 on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

After an approval of minutes, MGC staff will lead a tribute for Detective Captain Brian Connors, the founding Commanding Officer of the Gaming Enforcement Unit who was recently promoted to join the Command Staff of the Massachusetts State Police.

During an administrative update, Executive Director Karen Wells and members of the Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will discuss the following:

  • On-site Casino Updates
  • MGC Return to Work Update

Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden and Research Manager Marie-Claire Flores-Pajot will present on the following:

  • GameSense Quarterly Update
  • General Research Update

Director of Diversity and Legislative Affairs Jill Griffin, alongside Executive Director Wells, General Counsel Todd Grossman, and Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon, will provide an Employee and Vendor Diversity Update.

Director Griffin and Program Manager Crystal Howard will present the 2019 Casino Industry Impact Report and introduce Account Executive Suzanne Charette from the Mansfield Paper Company for a local vendor spotlight.

Director of Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Loretta Lillios, alongside Gaming Agents Division Chief Bruce Band, will discuss a Civil Administrative Report.

Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney and Program Manager Mary Thurlow, alongside members of the Diversity and Legislative Affairs Division, will lay out an amendment to a Workforce Development Grant from the 2021 Community Mitigation Fund for Holyoke Community College.

Commissioner O’Brien and Associate General Counsel Carrie Torrisi will lead a discussion on a draft Commission letter to the Massachusetts Peace Officer and Training Commission.
