WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #494 on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

After the meeting is called to order, the Commission will vote on a trio of meeting minutes from MGC meetings formerly held on March 27, 2023, March 30, 2023, and April 6, 2023.

Commissioner Brad Hill is then expected to lead a legislative update.

The Commission’s Sports Wagering Division will then present two operators’ requests for house rules amendments – Fanatics and DraftKings – ahead of a WynnBET request for reducing customer service hours.

The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau (IEB) is then expected to provide an update on the anticipated temporary licensure process and then a report on Encore Boston Harbor’s petition to amend its floorplan.

Research and Responsible Gaming will speak on the Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program, specifically its Massachusetts process and data.

The Community Affairs Division will then present on a 2023 Community Mitigation Fund grant modification, which is expected to be followed by a diversity audit update from the MGC.

Both the Executive Director Screening Committee and the IEB Director Screening Committee are then anticipated to provide updates.

A Commissioners Update is expected to round out the meeting, with Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioner Eileen O’Brien speaking on exploring the potential for an MGC seal of licensure.

There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
