Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review the meeting minutes from the December 18, 2025, and January 8, 2026, Commission meetings. This will be followed by a discussion with the Racing Division on the Race Horse Development Fund benefits for drivers and jockeys.
The meeting will then be shifted to the Finance Division, which will provide a mid-year update on the FY2026 budget.
The Sports Wagering Division will follow with DraftKings’ request for a temporary waiver from the Commission’s amended regulations: 205 CMR 247.07(5) and 205 CMR 248.10(2). There will also be an update to DraftKings’ house rules.
Commissioners then expect to hear from Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Director Caitlyn Monahan, who will present Plainridge Park Casino’s request for an amendment to the beverage license.
The Legal Division will then lead Commissioners in discussions on two different sets of regulations, 205 CMR 250: Protection of Minors and Underage Youth from Sports Wagering, and 205 CMR 149.00: Race Horse Development Fund (specifically 205 CMR 149.04). The meeting is then expected to enter executive session to review meeting minutes from previous executive sessions.
Commissioner updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
