Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on January 24, 2019

Topics include Region C, Regulations, Horse Racing, and Mid-Year Budget Review

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including interim Chair Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Eileen O’Brien, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins, and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga 

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 259th open public meeting on Thursday, January 24, 2019. The public meeting will begin with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian. This update will include a discussion about Region C (Southeastern Mass).

The MGC’s Legal Division will request a Commission vote to complete the promulgation process for 205 CMR 146.00: Gaming Equipment and Amended Small Business Impact Statement.

Dr. Alex Lightbown, director of the Racing Division, will request Commission votes on a series of 2017 unpaid winnings from Suffolk Downs, Wonderland, Plainridge Racecourse, and Raynham.

Chief Finance and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon will request a Commission vote on the FY19 MGC mid-year budget.

Lastly, it has been determined that the Commission will not conclude the meeting with an Executive Session as it is referenced on the official Meeting Notification and Agenda.
