Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on February 14, 2019

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 261st open public meeting on Thursday, February 14, 2019. The public meeting will begin with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian.
Ombudsman John Ziemba will then lead a review of the 2019 Community Mitigation Fund applications.
Jill Griffin, director of workforce, supplier and diversity development, will provide the Commission with an update about MGC’s recently issued Request for Response: Lessons Learned from Development of Casinos in Massachusetts; Best Practices for Diversity during Construction. Director Griffin will also guide a Commission review of an amended regulation that defines women business enterprise, veteran business enterprise and minority business enterprise.
Mark Vander Linden, director of research and responsible gaming, will present the Commission with a comprehensive update of MGC’s research agenda. Director Vander Linden will also highlight recently completed research on high-risk groups.
Lastly, the Commission will enter Executive Session pursuant to M.G.L. chapter 30A section 21 (a)(3) to discuss Wynn-related litigation strategy.
