Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on January 12, 2022; Conference Call Available

WHO:                    Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Brad Hill, and Eileen O’Brien

WHAT:                  The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #367 on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

After the meeting is called to order, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will discuss on-site casino updates.

Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney will discuss a development update regarding Encore Boston Harbor.

Director of Racing Dr. Alexandra Lightbown will head the Racing Division’s portion of the meeting, where a vote will take place on quarterly local aid payments.

Executive Director Wells will provide an office reopening update on the commission’s Boston office during a section of the meeting dedicated to the commission’s COVID-19 policy. A vote will take place during that time. In addition to the update and vote, Director of Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Loretta Lillios and Bruce Band, Assistant Director, Gaming Agents Division Chief, will discuss the Gaming Agent Schedule during the COVID-19 Policy portion of the meeting as well.

Executive Director Wells will also, in conjunction with Commissioner O’Brien and General Counsel Todd Grossman, discuss the commission’s Hiring Authority Policy, ahead of a vote on the matter. Grossman and Executive Director Wells will then be joined by Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon to discuss the commission’s procurement process review.

Grossman will lead the Legal Division section of the meeting, where Assistant Director Band, Field Manager of Casino Operations and Gaming Agent Assistant Division Chief Burke Cain, and Associate General Counsel Carrie Torrisi will discuss Draft Amendments to Pai Gow Poker as it relates to Table Game Rules. The Commission will then vote on the matter.
