Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on February 9, 2023; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #434 on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
After the meeting is called to order, the Commission is expected to vote on the approval of meeting minutes from previous MGC meetings held on August 11 and August 17, 2022.
Following that, Executive Director Karen Wells will lead an Administrative Update that will cover Casino Updates.
The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will lead the next portion of the meeting. They are set to give an update regarding compliance with the Approved Massachusetts Sports Wagering Catalog ahead of a potential Executive Session regarding the matter.
Once the meeting reconvenes following the expected Executive Session, the MGC’s Finance Division will provide a Mid-Year Financial Update as well as a Sports Wagering Assessment for Approved Operators.
The Legal Division will then cover New Table Games, specifically 205 CMR 146.28: Pontoon 21 Table and the potential approval of new table game rules for Pontoon 21. The Division will then turn to a discussion on Sports Wagering Regulations, where they are expected to cover 205 CMR 254: Temporary Prohibition from Sports Wagering, and 205 CMR 256: Sports Wagering Advertising.
Commissioner Updates are set to follow, rounding out the meeting with a GPAC Update.
There is time allowed at the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting. The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
