Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review meeting minutes from several past open meetings on June 12, 2023, April 29, 2024, January 16, 2025, and January 23, 2025.
Executive Director Dean Serpa will then provide an administrative update, followed by a fiscal year 2025 mid-year budget update from the Finance department. Afterward, the Legal department will lead a discussion and review of a regulation amendment regarding 205 CMR 247.03: Petition for a Sporting Event or Wager Category.
The meeting will then move into an executive session, during which Encore Boston Harbor and Plainridge Park Casino will provide quarterly reports and ILEV updates. The meeting will stay in the executive session for a discussion regarding collective bargaining of the SEIU Local 888 agreement.
There will be a return to the public regarding several IEB matters, including temporary Category 3 sports wagering operators’ requests for leave to renew and briefings on non-compliance matters. Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will follow with recommendations from the FY24 Research Agenda.
The meeting will be returned to the executive session to review minutes from previous executive sessions.
Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
