Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on December 9, 2022; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #409 on Friday, December 9, 2022.
After the meeting is called to order, the Commission will vote on meeting minutes for a meeting previously held on September 15, 2022. An Administrative Update is set to follow, which will cover on-site casino updates and the vacation time roll-over update.
The Racing Division will then lead the next portion of the meeting, which is set to cover multiple requests from Plainridge Park Casino, Suffolk Downs, and Raynham Park.
That conversation will be followed by the Research and Responsible Gaming Division’s portion of the meeting, which the Commission will discuss M.G.L. 23N Sports Wagering Studies Updates.
Commissioner Updates are expected to round out the remainder of the public portion of the meeting; the Annual Report update will be covered during that section of the meeting.
There is also time reserved at the end of the meeting for other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of this posting.
The Commission is then expected to meet in Executive Session to review and approve meeting minutes from previous executive sessions, as well as to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining and litigation associated with the proceedings presently before the Department of Labor Relations docketed as case no. WMAS-22-9563. The public portion of the meeting is not expected to reconvene at the conclusion of the Executive Session.
The Commission reserves the right to vote on these matters during this or future meetings.
