Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on December 5, 2019

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #283 on Thursday, December 5, 2019.
The meeting will begin with an approval of minutes, followed by an MGC Vendor Diversity Update from VeraCloud.
Executive Director Ed Bedrosian will provide an administrative update, including a presentation on draft Region C Request For Information questions.
Interim General Counsel Todd Grossman and Staff Attorney Justin Stempeck will then provide an update on Region C-related Tribal Litigation and Federal Legislation.
Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Director Karen Wells will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- MGM Springfield Qualifiers – VOTE
- Modification of Vendor Independent Director Application – VOTE
Ombudsman John Ziemba will ask the Commission to vote on Final Community Mitigation Fund Guidelines, and Dr. Alex Lightbown, the MGC’s Racing Division Director, will provide an update on Horse Racing Legislation.
Director of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development Jill Griffin will present on a Workforce Development Request For Response relating to Small Business Technical Assistance.
Dr. Lightbown will then request that the Commission vote on the following:
- Suffolk Downs Request for Approval of Simulcast Import Locations – VOTE
- Suffolk Downs Request for Approval of Account Wagering Providers – VOTE
- Suffolk Downs Request for Promotional Fund Consideration – VOTE
- Suffolk Downs Request for Promotional Fund Reimbursement – VOTE
- Plainridge Park Casino Request for Capital Improvement Fund Consideration – VOTE
During a discussion on commission matters, Commissioner Zuniga will review the MGC’s 2019 Annual Report.
