Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on August 27, 2026; Conference Call Available

Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review meeting minutes from the previous public meetings on July 22 and July 28, 2026.

The Research and Responsible Gaming Division will then present “Perspectives on Sports Betting among Young Adults in Massachusetts: A Community-Engaged Research Study.”

Commissioners will then hear from the Community Affairs Division regarding Encore Boston Harbor and Plainridge Park Casino’s quarterly reports.

The Sports Wagering Division will follow with a request for an extension to a temporary waiver from Amended 205 CMR 247.07 and 205 CMR 248.10 related to debit access instruments. There will also be updates to the house rules of BetMGM, MGM Springfield, and Fanatics.

The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will address Plainridge Park Casino’s request for an amendment to its beverage license.

Commissioners will then hear discussions and reviews of three regulations: 205 CMR 116.08: Notice, 205 CMR 229.01: Notice, and 205 CMR 146.18: Baccarat, Midi-baccarat, Mini-baccarat, and Baccarat-chemin de Fer Tables; Physical Characteristics. This will be followed by a request from MGM Springfield.

Commissioner updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.

There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
