WHO:                     Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #472 on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The Commission is convening the meeting to continue the evaluation of the application of Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc. (d/b/a Raynham Park) for a Category 2 Sports Wagering Operator License that commenced at the MGC’s June 12, 2023 and June 20, 2023 public meetings.

After Friday’s meeting is called to order, Interim Director and General Counsel Todd Grossman will discuss with the Commission the legal framework relative to the awarding of a sports wagering license. That will be followed by a general update from Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc.

Following that, presentations and analysis relevant to review and evaluation of the application for a Category 2 Sports Wagering Operator License will follow. That is expected to include an IEB report regarding review for preliminary suitability of the applicant, the Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc.’s response to that IEB report, and the preliminary financial suitability of the applicant.

The next agenda item for the Commission to consider is a request for withdrawal of an individual qualifier and entity qualifier, and the IEB’s response to requests to withdraw, and supplemental submission on suitability.

Following that portion of the meeting, the Commission is expected to engage in a discussion and potential decision regarding requests to withdraw and preliminary suitability.

The Commission is then expected to meet in Executive Session. Once it returns from Executive Session, Commissioner Updates are expected to round out the meeting.

There is also time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.

The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
