Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will review minutes from previous Commission meetings on February 22, 2024, April 3, 2024, October 24, 2024, and July 1, 2025.
The Research and Responsible Gaming Division will follow with a presentation of a report titled “The Impact of Legalized Gambling on Recovery Communities: A Community-Based Participatory Research Study.”
The Community Affairs Division will then present quarterly reports from Encore Boston Harbor and MGM Springfield. A discussion of FY2027’s Community Mitigation Fund grant cycle will follow.
Commissioners then expect to hear two requests from the Racing Division. The first is a request from Plainridge Park to reschedule a cancelled racing day on June 23, 2025, to a new date on September 1, 2025. The second request comes from Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc., asking to approve Churchill Downs Technology Initiatives Company platforms Twin Spires and DK Horse as Advance Deposit Wagering Providers in accordance with 205 CMR 6.20.
The meeting is then expected to enter executive session with the Legal Division for two separate matters. The first matter will be a review of litigation strategy regarding an MCAD complaint. Commissioners will then stay in executive session to review minutes from previous executive sessions.
Following a return to public session, the Sports Wagering Division will present updates to house rules from DraftKings, BetMGM, MGM Springfield, and FanDuel. The IEB will follow with several briefings on noncompliance matters.
Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
