Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on April 8, 2021; Conference Call Available
WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #341 on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
After an approval of minutes, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will include the following:
- On-site Casino Updates
- Financial Investigations Update
- Racing Opening Day Update
- Staff Recognition
Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden and Program Manager Teresa Fiore will present a Quarterly GameSense Update.
Community Affairs Division Chief Joe Delaney, alongside Program Manager Mary Thurlow, Director of Diversity and Legislative Affairs Jill Griffin, and Program Manager Crystal Howard, will review Workforce Applications for the 2021 Community Mitigation Fund. A vote on this matter is anticipated.
Director of Racing Dr. Alex Lightbown will ask that the Commission vote on qualifications for jockeys to receive health and welfare benefits.
During an Executive Update, Director Wells will lead a discussion on the following:
- Audit and Compliance Group Update and Process
Chair Judd-Stein and Commissioner O’Brien will provide an update on the Independent Monitor for Wynn MA, LLC.
