Registration Remains Open for the MGC’s May 14 Conference on Examining Social Impacts of Sports Betting and Changing Gambling Landscape

Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on 3/24 at 10am, TOPICS: Region C, Plainridge Park Casino and Diversity Grant Program

WHO:            Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including   Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd Macdonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:          The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 184th open public meeting on March 24, 2016.

Region C resort-casino applicant Mass Gaming & Entertainment, LLC will provide a response to the commissioners about the recent public presentation made by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.

Commissioner Zuniga will update the Commission about the process for reconciling financial data from Plainridge Park Casino.

MGC’s Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development Director Jill Griffin will brief the Commission about a recently issued Request For Response by the MGC regarding Diversity Goal/Business Technical Assistance Grants. With a goal of the building capacity of the small business and ensuring their success as casino vendors, MGC may consider funding planning grants or grants for the expansion of business technical assistance programs that can demonstrate a focus on one of the diverse populations and that target Massachusetts companies that have a contract or the potential of a contract with a Resort Casino (Category 1) or Category 2 Casino (slots only).
