Registration Remains Open for the MGC’s May 14 Conference on Examining Social Impacts of Sports Betting and Changing Gambling Landscape

Meeting Notification: MGC to hold open public meeting on 2/18 at 10:00am, TOPICS: Diversity, Region C, Wynn Permitting Update and Appeal, Draft Regulations and Horse Racing

WHO:             Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including   Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd Macdonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:          The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 179th open public meeting on February 18, 2016. The Commission will begin the meeting with an update from the Access and Opportunity Committee and a discussion on the diversity goal loan program.

Ombudsman John Ziemba will brief the Commission on the latest Region C (Southeastern Massachusetts) schedule. Ombudsman Ziemba will also update commissioners regarding Wynn permitting and the permitting appeal.

MGC’s Legal Division will present commissioners with a first draft of skill-based gaming regulations. The Commission is also expected to vote on a series of Amended Small Business Impact Statements for regulations the Commission has already determined should go through the promulgation process and amendments to the exclusion regulations.

Lastly, it is anticipated that the Commission will vote on a series of racing-related matters to include recovery of unclaimed winnings.
