Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on 4/26 in Springfield

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Eileen O’Brien, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga  

 WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 241st open public meeting in Springfield on THURSDAY, April 26, 2018.

The public meeting will begin with an update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian about regulatory preparations for the MGM Springfield opening. Springfield Chief Development Officer Kevin Kennedy will present the Commission with a status update on the city’s ongoing economic development initiatives.

The Commission is expected to vote on both the designation of the MGM Springfield gaming floor and gaming establishment.

Jill Griffin, MGC’s director of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development, will lead a discussion about economic development grant funding for the Hampden County Sheriff’s Office and the Quaboag Valley Community Development Corporation.

The Commission will vote on a purse funding request from Suffolk Downs.
