Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on 10/26, TOPICS: MGC Budget, PPC Patron Survey and 2018 Communication Mitigation Fund Guidelines

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd MacDonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 227th open public meeting on THURSDAY, October 26, 2017.
The Commission will start the meeting with an administrative update to include MGC’s quarterly budget and a diversity report.
The Commission will receive an update on its robust research agenda known as the Social and Economic Impacts of Gambling in Massachusetts (SEIGMA). The SEIGMA researchers will begin its presentation by providing an updated general population survey. Researchers will also deliver a comprehensive analysis regarding a patron and license plate survey conducted at Plainridge Park Casino.
MGC Ombudsman John Ziemba will present draft 2018 Community Mitigation Fund guidelines.
The Commission is expected to vote on a series of regulations. Lastly, MGC’s Director of Investigation and Enforcement Bureau Karen Wells will lead a discussion on the Exclusion List.
