Meeting Notification: MassGaming to hold open public meeting on 6/26, TOPICS: update on workforce development training, timeline for Region C and the FY15 budget

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 126th open public meeting on Thursday, June 26th. The Commission will receive an update from the state’s community colleges on their progress to build workforce development training through the establishment of the Massachusetts Casino Careers Training Institute. In addition, the Commission will receive a FY15 budget update from the Commission’s administrative staff. The Commission is also expected to review and potentially vote on the master schedule and overall licensing timeline for Region C (Southeastern Massachusetts). The Commission is additionally expected to vote to approve draft regulations pertaining to the Commission’s surveillance, monitoring and inspection activities at gaming facilities. Finally, the Commission will discuss correspondence received from the City of Chelsea regarding the status of its surrounding community agreement with resort-casino applicant, Wynn MA LLC.
