Massachusetts Gaming Commission to Hold Open Public Meeting
Topics include a review of Region A (Eastern Massachusetts) Evaluation Process; Recommendations from the Massachusetts Horse Racing Committee; and an update on the Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development plan
WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga.
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 133rd open public meeting on Thursday, September 4th. The Commission will review its planned evaluation process – beginning on Monday, September 8 — to select the licensee for a proposed resort-casino in Region A (Eastern Massachusetts).
Also, the Commission will hear recommendations from the Massachusetts Horse Racing Committee on the distribution of funds from the newly established Racehorse Development Fund, to be split between the thoroughbred and harness racing industries; and Commission staff will provide a status update on the Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development plan.
