Meeting Notification: MassGaming to hold bi-weekly open meeting, topics include surrounding community negotiations and gaming in foreign jurisdictions

Topics include Status Reports from Slots Applicants regarding Surrounding Community Negotiations and Discussion of Gaming in Foreign Jurisdictions 

WHO:             Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga and representatives from several gaming applicants

WHAT:          The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold a bi-weekly Open Meeting on Thursday, October 17th. The Commission will receive a briefing from the three slots applicants (Penn National, Cordish and Raynham Park) regarding the status of their respective surrounding community negotiations.  The Commission’s Director of Investigations and Enforcement Bureau, Karen Wells, will present the Commission with information for consideration regarding laws and regulations pertaining to gaming in foreign jurisdictions. Two applicants, Wynn MA LLC and MGM Springfield, have also requested the opportunity to present information to the Commission regarding business practices in other countries. In addition, the Commission will receive a presentation on tourism promotion in Western Mass. In conclusion, the Commission is expected to vote on medication regulation changes pertaining to racing.
